Industry Overview
Franchise North America offers Sign franchises in all regions of the United States. We only offer those franchises for sale that meet our high internal standards of excellence, integrity, and quality.
The need for signage and advertising is so universal, nearly every business needs it. Consequently, there are a number of competitors in nearly every market in the U.S. One could view that reality as reason to stay out of the market (i.e., the glass is half empty). Others look at that see the number of competitors as confirmation of the size and potential of the market (i.e., the glass is half full).
Many of the local competition are independent sign shorts with unsophisticated selling and marketing techniques with outdated and inferior sign making quality. In addition, there are a few well run franchise sign chains competing. The challenge is understanding the competitiveness of your local market and then ensure that the franchise concept you choose can deliver a real point of difference through marketing, quality or both.
Another reality that benefits the industry is that most signage is not permanent so there is a reoccurring need for it. Consequently, many sign businesses are supported by a relatively few loyal and repeat customers.
